Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. announced the release of the e-BRIDGE Document Library. This newest software developed by Toshiba operates with all Toshiba Open Platform-enabled multifunction products and gives users greater work efficiency and productivity in any area, such as a home office, corporate office, or while roaming.
Toshiba e-BRIDGE users, with the help of Document Library, have their filing cabinet at their finger tips. Simply scan any document straight from the multifunction product’s control panel and it will be stocked as a digital file that can be searched, reducing paper pile-ups plus printing costs.
When a user is prepared to retrieve the document, despite their location, they plainly open the Document Library interface in the Web browser of their choice and search for the document by its filing tag or by any key word in the document text. This permits information to be accessed from anywhere and at anytime, which is key for quick, global business environments.
Document Library is offered to provide assistance to authorized Toshiba dealers in introducing their small-to-mid-sized customers to the value and ease of document management systems. Administration has not been this easier or customizable than with e-BRIDGE Open Platform technology.
Administrators can place and deploy company-wide security rules, defaults, settings and scanning guidelines, from one central location to their whole fleet of Toshiba’s Open Platform-enabled MFPs just with the click of a mouse, providing considerably improved security, control and efficiency. Among Toshiba-developed connectors, e-BRIDGE Document Library is the third in its series. It provides greater levels of third-party app integration for Toshiba’s Open Platform-enabled MFPs.
Dealers and customers can expect an expansion of the Open Platform portfolio of external app software partners in the future days. For solutions not presently supported by Toshiba-developed connectors, Toshiba provides e-Copy as the connectivity add-on.
